NOI Polls: Agents Basking In Self - Delusion, Political Masturbation - Oladunjoye

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Tunde Oladunjoye, has described NOI Polls' recent national opinion poll on the 2023 presidential election as a journey of self - delusion and political masturbation by its agents.

The NOI Polls had in its September poll conducted on the forthcoming general elections placed a presidential candidate of a particular political party ahead of others from well established and mainstream parties.

But reacting to the development, Oladunjoye who is the Publicity Secretary of APC in Ogun State, said that sponsored poll would not change the defeat that awaits them next year.

In his reaction captioned, 'Politicians, Politics and Polls,' the APC chieftain recalled that in the build up to the last presidential primary of the APC in Abuja, a very popular aspirant came out of the polls ahead of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but
noted that despite the aspirant being tipped to win the party's presidential ticket and even after he was called 'the big boy,' he still did not even come second.

According to Oladunjoye, the NOI polls is not reliable and should be trusted by Nigerian voters.

He stated, "In the last 24  hours, “news” of a poll’s outcome placing the least popular, least prepared candidate ahead of candidates of other more popular and better entrenched parties, has rented the air.

"I don’t have the luxury of time to respond to  fantasy and tales by moonlight. The only reminder I want to give here is that, recently, ahead of the last presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Abuja,  a very popular aspirant came out of the polls and ahead of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The aspirant was tipped to win the presidential primary. At the end of the day, at the election proper, the one who was called 'the big boy' did not even come second!

"Let the polling agents continue to bask in self-delusion and political masturbation. The day of reckoning is here; and not even the sponsored poll can postpone the day of their defeat. As far as the invented poll is concerned, the first shall be the last!"
