2023: PDP Vows To Take Over Ogun, Receives APC 234 Ex - LG Officials

People's Democratic Party (PDP) says it is strategically repositioning itself to take over  governance in Ogun State, following the defection of  former council officials from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the party.

Chairman of PDP in the state, Hon.Sikirulah Ogundele who stated this in a statement in Abeokuta while receiving 234  APC members including 24 former vice chairmen, 200 ex-councillors and former 10 Secretary To Local Government, asked Governor Dapo Abiodun to start preparing his handover note come 2023, considering the growing popularity of PDP among people in the state as demonstrated by the defectors to the party.

Ogundele on behalf of members of executive committee of PDP, assured the new members of equal treatment in the party,  charging them to join hands with the old members to work towards party's victory at the poll.

He also reminded the entire members of the party to encourage people to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)

Ogundele restated the commitment of PDP to overall welfare of people of the state in terms of programmes and projects aimed at repositioning the state for economic growth , if elected in 2023 at all levels, the statement concluded
