Kidnappers of popular Nollywood actress, Cynthia Okereke and actor Clemson Cornel, aka Agbogidi, have reached out to their families, asking for $100,000 ransom to set the movie stars free.

The families of the abductees had earlier raised the alarm over the whereabouts of the actress and actor after a film production at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.

The two were deemed missing on Friday, with their family members confirming that they had yet to return from a filming they went to at Ozalla Town in Enugu state, one of the South East States where abduction of people for ransom and killings is almost rife.

However, the Enugu police which launched an investigation into the matter, recovered a vehicle belonging to Okereke from where it was abandoned on the highway.

A police source said the Nollywood actors are victims of abduction, adding that the abductors are demanding $100,000 in ransom.

“It’s a confirmed kidnap case. They have made contact and demanded for 100k dollars,” the police source said.
