The Daily Crucible | Wednesday, June 22, 2022

An aide  of the Zazu singer, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has reportedly knocked down a motorcycle  rider in an auto accident in Ogun.

The motorcycle rider was taken to hospital but he died later.

It was learnt that the yet -to- be identified aide was said to be rushing to the naming ceremony of Portable’s second child in his Range Rover car when the accident happened.

Sources close the embattled musician
confirmed the incident that one of his aides knocked down a motorcycle rider who later died in a hospital but the Police have not confirmed it.

This came a time the Ogun State Police Command had ordered Portable to report himself over a viral video in which he was heard accusing a young man of sending a message to his ‘wife,’ asking her to advise him to steer clear  from his friends.

The singer directed his aides to beat up the young man and he could be heard saying in Yoruba, “E luu pa” (Beat him to death).

The police had  threatened to arrest the Zazu Zeh crooner if he failed to turn himself in for mobilising youths to attack a young man.

The Police asked him to immediately
report himself personally to any nearest police station within the jurisdiction of the Ogun State Police Command or risk being arrested by detectives.

The Police said this became necessary after the Command's attention was drawn to a viral video depicting where Portable was allegedly caught mobilising some youths to assault a young man in an undisclosed location in Ogun State.

In a release by the Spokesperson of the Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, he stated that the assault left the victim with bodily injury
Oyeyemi stated: "The attention of Ogun State Police Command has been drawn to a video clip circulating on social media where a popular hiphop musician Habeeb Okikiola a.k.a Portable, the Zazu crooner was seen organizing some youths to beat up a young man and inflict bodily injury on him. The incident was said to have taken place somewhere within Ogun State about two days ago.

"Such unruly and violent behavior is not only barbaric, but unbecoming of somebody who supposed to be a role model for the youths and therefore should not be tolerated.

"In view of this, the Command is using this medium to advise Okikiola Habeeb a.k.a Portable to report himself at the nearest police station in Ogun State, failure of which his arrest will be ordered.
