Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka,  leader of the Ilana Omo Oodua, Professor Banji Akintoye and a prominent advocate of Yoruba cause, Prof Wale Adeniran have visited the Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Ighoho on Sunday in Benin Republic.

It was not yet clear what was discussed during the meeting as the quartet - Soyinka, Akintoye, Adeniran and Igboho  met behind closed doors.

Igboho was arrested on July 19, 2021 in Cotonou, in Benin Republic on his way to Germany while fleeing from Nigerian authority. He was kept in detention until March 7 when the Goovernment of Benin Republic released him to his doctors on condition that he would not flee the country.

Nigerian secret police - the Department of State Security Services, DSS, had earlier declared Igboho wanted for allegedly stockpiling arms, but the activist had denied the allegation.
