has congratulated the people of Adamawa on their choice of Dr. Mahmood Halilu Ahmad, mni, as Sarki Gabas Adamawa, in Adamawa State, whom he described as a patriot, scholar, thoroughbred, community builder and distinguished academic.

Prince Diya said Dr. Ahmad, has been roundly attested to be a jolly good fellow: a selfless, honest and hard working gentleman, whose meritorious service to  the community and humanity is unparalleled. 

In a statement seen by our Reporter, Prince Diya who is a coursemate, associate and friend of the traditional ruler, also reckoned the new  Gabas  Adamawa as a brother and friend.

"You were my neighbour and also worked together on an assignment during a critical assignment where you displayed uncommon leadership, dedication and resourcefulness to ensure we delivered on our mandate. You are a born-leader blessed with an infectious simplicity. I have no doubt whatsoever that you are the man whom the cap fits to provide the leadership and direction needed by the Great people of Adamawa, and indeed Nigeria. Congratulations," he affirmed.

Similarly, the local people have described the Sarki Gabas Adamawa as a seasoned and dynamic leader, "whose generosity is Iconic, his love for younger generation is legendary, while his passion for the preservation of progressive customs and traditions practice is unparalleled even as his mentoring ability is exceptional and and love for the talakawas overwhelming."

Meanwhile, encomiums have continued to pour in for the new Sarki Gabas Adamawa from all quarters, wishing him a happy reign as he ascends the throne of his ancestors.
