A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde, has said that it is becoming clearer everyday that the second term ambition of Gov Dapo Abiodun would eventually be achieved seamlessly.

Armstrong said that the various giant strides of governor Abiodun in road and infrastructural developments, education, agriculture, housing, health, employment creation among others have strongly reinforced the conviction of the people to allow him preside over the affairs of the state beyond 2023.

The APC chieftain posited this on Monday while speaking with journalists at Iperu Remo residence of the governor after a political support group, Dapo Abiodun Mandate Group raised the sum of N50m to purchase the second term nomination form for him.

Armstrong said, "Governor Dapo Abiodun of our dear state has no doubt been exceptional with governance in the state, the developmental projects have been very huge across the state and just like scholarship is given to exceptionally brilliant student, some progressives across Remo land have also contributed the sum of N50M to buy the nomination form for the governor.

"It's the least we all can do to ensure that the unprecedented development across the state continues beyond 2023."

The property merchant also revealed that "in terms of mobilisation, the group, Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) has been doing a lot of work in that regard.

"We have left no stone unturned in all the 20 local governments and the agenda is to ensure a seamless second term for our hardworking governor, our target is to mobilise at least 10,000 votes for the governor in each of our 20 local governments.

"In fact those who want to contest against the governor are losers already because you just don't disband a performing team. Really, it's becoming clearer everyday that Gov Abiodun's second term is already a walkover."
