2023: Baales In Ogun West Endorse Abiodun For 2nd Term, Want YAYI As Their Senator

The second term aspiration of governor Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun West senatorial declaration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola received a boost respectively at the weekend as over 300 Baales(traditional community leaders) from the five Local Government Areas of Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State endorsed Abiodun for re - election while calling on Senator Solomon Adeola, chairman Senate Committee of Finance to contest to represent Ogun West in 2023.

In a communique signed by five representatives of from each of the LGA of Yewa South, Yewa North, Imeko Afon, Ado Odo Ota and Ipokia, and made available to The Daily Crucible, the body of Ogun West Baales after reviewing challenges the zone contends with as gleaned from their various domains, they submitted that governor Abiodun has demonstrated commitment to improve the socioeconomic circumstance of Ogun West Senatorial district through project interventions - both ongoing and completed.

While they the Baales endorsed the governor's re-election bid and pledged to mobilize their people to vote for him in 2023, they also implored him to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects in the 5 LGAs  before the next general election as a further demonstration of his commitment to  improve the welfare and standard of living of their people.

They equally endorsed Senator Adeola quest for Ogun West Senatorial seat, citing his "demonstrated excellent performance and political network" as reasons for the endorsement.

"We hereby declare our support for the transfer of political activity our son, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to his root in Ogun West. 

"We fully endorse the ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, to represent Ogun West Senatorial district in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and will fully support his election at the upcoming 2023 National Assembly election once he becomes the candidate of his party," they stated.
