5,000 Exhibitors, Others To Storm Ogun For First Lady’s Adire Market Week

The Office of the First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, and the Ajose Foundation have concluded arrangements to hold the First Lady’s Adire Market Week as part of the governor's wife unflinching commitment to youth and women development in Ogun State.

The planned First Lady’s Adire Market Week is meant to build on the gains of the successful launch of the adireogun.com, promote financial inclusion for women-owned businesses, enhance the tourism potentials in the tate and further help Ogun State continue to set the pace as the adire capital of the world.

The event which comes up between Thursday, April 7 and Saturday, April 9, this year at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, will have the day one and closing ceremony of it respectively featuring a fashion showcasing.

It will also showcase and promote authentic adire products from 150 exhibitors in Ogun State as well as the works of traders, fashion designers, models and other players in the adire industry, with at least 5,000 local and international participants expected at this year’s edition thereby giving stakeholders in the industry to showcase their products to the global market.

Her Excellency and wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, therefore enjoined members of the public  to leverage on the enormous opportunities available through the First Lady’s Adire Market Week by participating at this year’s event.
