I'm Truly Blessed At 56- Ogun Deputy Governor

Ogun State deputy governor, Engr. Noimot Salako - Oyedele, has taken a deep reflection about her life as she turns 56 today in the land of the living, submitting that she is truly blessed.

Anchoring her submission on some selected Quranic verses, Mrs Salako - Oyedele attributed her blessings to Almighty Allah and thanked Him for milestones achieved, for new beginnings and for successes recorded for her family and herself in the last one year.

The Amazon who was bestowed with the "Woman of The Year 2021" award, a deserving honour by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State, made this known early morning, Saturday, on her official facebook page.

"All glory to Almighty Allah, another year of my life has rolled by. 

I thank Almighty Allah for milestones achieved, for new beginnings and for successes recorded for my family and I in the last year. 

With each passing year, I reflect on the Quranic verses below and know that I am truly blessed. Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin. 

May Almighty Allah grant us all many more years in happiness, good health and prosperity.

'…Anyone who is grateful does so to the profit of his own soul…'(Q31:12) 

'If you are grateful, I would certainly give you more; and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is truly severe.' (Q14:7) 

 'And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah...' (Q16:53)," she stated.

The Daily Crucible recalls that Mrs Salako-Oyedele, a seasoned daughter of Aworiland, Ota, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State, was born on January 8, 1966 to the family of late Prof. Lateef and Mrs Rahmat Adebisi Salako.

Young Noimot attended the prestigious Queen’s School, Ibadan, between 1976 and 1978, proceeding to International School, Ibadan between 1978 and 1981 for her GCE O’Level/WASCE Certificate and sfterwards gained admission into the University of Lagos, where she studied Civil Engineering between 1983 and 1987 and bagged a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree.

She also enrolled for a Master’s degree in Public Health Engineering from the Imperial College of Science & Technology London, UK where she served as a Graduate Engineer and Project Manager at Ove Arup & Partners between 1989 and 1995.

The deputy governor equally served as Managing Director, NOS NIGERIA LIMITED between 1995 and 2014, where she was directly involved in the construction of numerous private, public and commercial projects.

She also served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of other companies before veering into politics and emerged as the Ogun State Deputy-Governor when the position of Deputy Governor was zoned to Ogun West.
