A House of Representatives member, Hon. Olumide Osoba, has expressed shock at the passing of the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Ogun State, Oba Adegboyega Olusanya Dosunmu Amororo II, describing it as painful and a loss difficult to quantify.

Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu, the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta, who ascended the throne of his forebears in 2005, joined his ancestors last Sunday.

His domain  - Owu Abeokuta, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State falls within the federal constituency  which Hon. Olumide Osoba represents.

In a condolence message issued on Wednesday by the federal lawmaker representing Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode federal constituency at the National Assembly, he said the demise of the revered First Class traditional ruler and the producer of the popular TV soap -  the Village Headmaster - Nigerian TV series of the 70s ans 80s fame, would be greatly missed.

While commiserating with the Owu kingdom royal families, Ogun State Council of Obas, the theatre arts community and indeed the monarch's immediate family, Hon. Osoba urged them to take solace in the fact that Oba Dosumu lived a good life while his reign also brought peace, unity, progress and developments to Owuland.

He prayed that God Almighty grants Kabiyesi's soul eternal rest and the people he left behind the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
