Succour came the way of the less privileged in the society, particularly children undergoing reformation at the state - owned Asero Juvenile and Correctional Home in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as Hadassah Cares, a non - governmental organization, fetes them with love and gift items worth over N200, 000.

Some of the items presented during the visit to facility included Pillows, Books, Pen, beverages, learning materials, stationaries, Story books among others.

Hadassah Cares founder, Miss Mariam Adekunle, said the initiative was borne out of her passion to alleviate the sufferings of the vulnerable people, especially the children in the juvenile homes by
putting smile on their faces.

Miss Adekunle explained that Hadassah Cares carries out  philanthropic gestures in collaboration with partner friends, that support the dream and aspiration of bringing love and care to the vulnerable and poor who the society has neglected to its hurt.
Fielding questions from newsmen,
she expressed concern that most of the inmates of juveniles come from underprivileged backgrounds and slums, saying they grew up seeing their alcoholic fathers beating up their mothers while a good number of them are also products of homes riddled with violence and broken marriages.

She further explained that taking care of these teenagers when they come to the juvenile home is very important.

On the present given out to them, she said : "Aside from the different gifts we distributed, we did
Bible study, Quiz competition, Dancing competition, Adire Skill Acquisition, Games and Song ministrations, all these are done to put smiles on their faces."

She reiterated her commitment to continue to impact on the lives of the less privilege people in the society.

One of the Juvenile home children, Victor on behalf of other children, prayed that God would reward Hadassah Cares,  the handlers and preserve them for future assignments to humanity.

While receiving the items
Mrs Bukola Elizabeth Dopamu, the Head of home  thanked the donor for deeming it fit to extend hands of generosity to the children.

"On Behalf of all  the subjects in the Juvenile Correctional Home, Asero , I hereby express our profound gratitude for your generous donations, We are indeed grateful and we pray that the Almighty God continues to enrich your pocket and grant you your utmost heart desire, many thanks," she said.
