Lagos State Police Command says  three students of the Dowen College, Lekki Lagos, have been arrested in connection with bullying, torture and death of a 12 - year old student of the College, Sylvester Oromoni jnr.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said affected students are currently assisting the police with information in their investigation into the death of Oromoni jnr.

Odumosu who disclosed this to ChannelsTelevision on Tuesday morning, did not mention names of the three students that were arrested but it was learnt that before Sylvester Oromoni passed one, he alleged that Michael Kashamu, Anslem Temile, Benjamin Favour, Edward Brown and Agboro Emmanuel bullied and tortured him in his hostel.

Odumosi, however, explained that three of the five students mentioned by Sylvester before he died were already in police net.

“We already have three in custody and they are  cooperating with the police in their findings, they are key suspects," he said.

He said that the Command is set to go for the post mortem examination of the body in Delta State to ascertain the cause of death, adding that police authorities in both Lagos and Delta States are keenly interested in the outcome of the investigation to unravel the circumstances behind Sylvester’s death.

Meanwhile, special police has take over the entrance of the Dowen College after it had been sealed by the Lagos State Government even as  the Oromoni family has engaged the service of law firm of foremost rights activist lawyer, Femi Falana, to prosecute its case against the institution over the death of their son.
