Governor Dapo Abiodun has reiterated the strategic economic importance Igbesa to Ogun State as an industrial hub, urging the Oloja - Ekun of Igbesaland, Oba AbdulAzeez Akinde, to rally sons and daughters at home and abroad to further drive investments and socioeconomic development of the area and the s tate.

Abiodun also charged the new monarch to see himself as father to all sons and daughters of Igbesaland, advising him to leverage on it to forge more harmony, unity and peace in his domain.

The governor spoke on Saturday at the occasion of the 90th Day celebration of the coronation of Oba AndulAzeez Akinde to mark the successful conclusion of his traditional Ipebi rite, a period of seclusion preceding the installation of a new monarch in yorubaland.

Abiodun was represented by the Deputy govenor, Engr. Noimot Salako - Oyedele,

He commended the new monarch on his emergence as the 12th Oloja of Igbesaland and the people for having a traditional ruler in place at last, after an interregnum.
Speaking earlier, Oba Akinde assured the governor of his unflinching support to him and his administration.

He thanked the governor for remaining committed to the state's development.

The monarch who also noted that he "did not desire kingship or dreamt of becoming a king until he was nominated for the office," pledged to promote a virile industrialization and prosperous enterprise in Igbesaland with emphasis on technology - driven commerce, youths development and entertainments
as well as unity and peace of Awori people at home and abroad.

"I have actually started on that journey of attracting and encouraging more people within the kingdom of Igbesa, in Nigeria as well as outside, they shown and they have yielded to all my prayers, comments about them coming back and give something back to their Community, that is already started, it is something that I have concieved, it is a watch word that come back, bring back and help your community to grow economically, socially and other wise.
"At the moment we have investors, those investors that we have currently we haven't seen the impact of what they have done and so my first step is like that of Bird in hand is better than two in the bush, I want to focus first on those who have within Igbesa kingdom and see how they can improve on what they have done so far in terms of seeing the impact of creating jobs because they have employees amongst us but the proportion of the indigenes in those companies are not good enough, that is my starting point.

"We have other areas like entertainment, we shall like to bring in entertainment like eateries, supermarket and other small retail trades that can create jobs for people, we have created website, we are going to produce prospetus and we are going to go to different embassies to see how we can attract foreign investors, we are on the path of attracting new people, new investment and we are good in entertainment and accommodating anyone who wants to settle as long as you want to add value to our society.

"So far since have been here I think there has been harmony amongst people of different religions which is quite laudable, the most important thing is to have good communication.

"I think when there is communication gap you tend to have this anomalies you refer to but so far in my kingdom we have been able to match the trinity groups in a well mannered way and they tend to talk to each other.

"I have established and received reports of reconciliation committee, I have tried to talk to them even immediately after election, I kept trying to establish communication, I just received about two weeks ago of the reconciliation Committee of what I should do reach  out to other contestants, we asking them that we need to come together, there is no time, there is no point wasting time anymore, let's join hands together and move Igbesa kingdom forward," the monarch said.
