Lagos Assembly Speaker Bags Award From Southern People Congress

The Southern People Congress(SPC) has bestowed Dynamic and Pragmatic Leadeship Award on Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, in recognition of his commitment to better policy through quality legislation  for good governance.

The award was presented to Obasa in his office at the State Assembly, Alausa, Lagos on Friday. 

The award for excellence performance for the year 2021 was in continuation of the group's activities carried out to  mark Nigeria's  61st Independence Day.  It was received on behalf of the Speaker by his Chief of Staff, Prince Sunday Akinremi  Ladipo (JP).

SPC in arriving at the decision, said Obasa has through his expeditious, dynamic and articulate leadership style in the Lagos State House of Assembly, brought about   better policies that have catered for Lagosians, particularly the common man. 

"The challenges and quest for good governance is being "pursued"on daily basis, thus there have also been good cordial relationship between the State government and the legislators, all arms working in unity," the SPC National President, Hon. George Wilson said. 

Responding, the Speaker's aide promised to convey the group's wishes  to him,  expressing appreciation to the congress for the award.

Ladipo described  his principal as a “leader per excellence” that has engendered a lot of quality changes in the State House of Assembly and “Eko” in particular.

The SPC National President urged the speaker not to relent in his efforts at expeditiously legislating for the betterment of Lagos State and Nigerians.
