Achievements Recorded By OGSG Has Awere's Input - Ogun HoS

The Ogun State Government has appreciated the laudable contributions of the retiring Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abiodun Awere to the development of the State describing him with the popular cliché "O lowo Awere ninu" meaning any positive achievement of the state government has the input and touch of Awere.

The State's Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Ottun who disclosed this at the farewell program organised by the staffers of the Ministry in honour of the retired Permanent Secretary said Awere is very hard working and committed to doing it right always even with short notice adding that the state civil service will miss his wealth of experience.

In his remark, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile commended the passion, devotion, integrity and dedication of the "star boy" to his official duties.

In their separate farewell messages, the Permanent Secretaries in the Ministry of Rural Development, Mr. Tunji Kanimodo and his counterpart from the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, retired Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Tokunbo Williams and Alhaji Abdulfatai Opebiyi described the retired boss as humility personified, honest, hard working, sincere and a thorough bred professional.

Adding their voices, the Chairman, Board of Ogun State Television, Com. Tunde Oladunjoye, General Manager of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan, the Acting General Manager of Ogun State Television, Mr. Tunde Kassim, a retired Director from the Ministry, Mr. Ayo Oluyemi and the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Information Chapel, Com. 'Wale Olanrewaju appreciated the retired P.S for not allowing himself to be taking over by the paraphernalia of the office but remained himself and for stepping down in grand style when the ovation is loudest.

In his welcome address, the Director of Strategy Department, Mr. Lanre Ogunyinka appreciated the retiring Permanent Secretary for transforming and uplifting the face of the ministry since assumption of office as the Accounting Officer of the Ministry.

Appreciating the gesture done on him, the retired Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abiodun Awere thanked the staffers of the ministry for their support and loyalty while returning all the glory to the Almighty Allah for making him who he has become in the state's civil service.
