Ogun Records 10 New Cases Of COVID - 19

Ogun State has recorded 10 new cases of the dreadful Coronavirus in three of its 20 local government areas. 

The new cases were confirmed in 
 Sagamu (6), Abeokuta South(3) and Odeda(1), according to the State's ministry of health source.

The latest development pushed the cumulative case from 4,801 to 
4,811 between Sunday and Tuesday this week. 

However,  the state recorded 2 new discharge and a cumulative discharge of 4,670 and 2 new admission cases.

The current admission cases stand at 12 (11 in Olabisi Onabanjo  University Teaching Hospital,OOUTH, Sagamu, 1 in Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Private Facility 0). it also confirmed 6 new cases on Home Management care.

Cumulative 61 cases are currently on Home Management treatment procedure. 

Also, 1 new death has been recorded 
bringing the cumulative death to 58.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, said a total of eight new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the State on August 2, 2021.

Coker who conveyed this In a release, revealed that six of the new cases were found in Sagamu while the other two were discovered in Ijebu-Ode.

She further disclosed in the release that present cumulative cases of Covid-19 in Ogun State as of yesterday stands at 4,801 with 12 people currently on admission in the isolation centers while 56 asymptomatic patients are on home management.

According to Dr. Coker, all residents should give all attention to the  guidelines of social distancing, regular hand washing, use of face masks as well as avoidance of mass gatherings. 

She  assured that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government is committed to putting all measures in place to curtail the third wave in Ogun State.
