Obasanjo Pays Homage To Newly Crowned Olu Of Warri

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday visited the newly crowned 21st Olu of Warri, Tsola Emiko, and paid homage to him.

Meanwhile,  governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has advised the Ogiame Atuwatse III to seek the unity of the Iwere nation and work purposefully towards the peace and development of the Itsekiri people and the entire country.

Okowa who joined other dignitaries, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the thanksgiving service to celebrate the successful coronation ceremony, it was clear that Almighty God had prepared the new Olu of Warri to take on this mantle of leadership. 

The governor wished the Ogiame Atuwatse III a long, peaceful, and prosperous reign even as he prayed for God’s continued presence on him.


"As the great people of Warri celebrate the coronation of the 21st Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III, this afternoon, alongside our former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and other distinguished guests, I attended the thanksgiving service to celebrate yesterday’s successful coronation.

"In my remarks, I emphasized that it is clear that Almighty God has prepared the new Olu of Warri to take on this mantle of leadership. In this regard, I called on His Royal Majesty to pursue the unity of the Iwere nation and work purposefully towards the peace and development of the Itsekiri people and the entire country," he said.
