Four Nigerian kids who were labelled witches by their hostile parents and society have graduated from school.

The kids were rescued by Anja  Ringgren Lovén, a Denmark charity worker, from their hostile environment in South South part of Nigeria, particularly in Akwa Ibom State in 2016 where accusations of witches are still rife till today.

She later put the kids in school.

Anja Ringgren Lovén who is the founder of the charity organization DINNødhjælp working in Nigeria since 2012, has been protecting and rescuing children accused of being witches.

She shared the news of the children's graduation about a week ago on her LinkedIn page,  saying she remains proud to have shown that the kids were not actually witches.

She stated : "In 2016 I made a documentary with Claudia Mayer for the German network

"During the visit from the German TV crew we rescued  four children: Gladys, Esther, Imoh and Ini. They were all rejected by society, accused of being witches.

"Yesterday two of them, Esther and Imoh graduated from primary school together with Imaobong !!

"And Saviour and Godspower graduated from nursery school.

"I have no words for how proud I am and how this is truly a testimony that children are NOT witches !!

"Thank you to Land of Hope Education Officer Don Udowan for celebration this day with our children.

"And Thanks to all of you who support Land of Hope. Without your support we would not be able to send our children to school.

"Education is a fundamental human right. It is a process to equip children with the tools they need to live lives of security and dignity. A child without education, is like a bird without wings.

"Please help me celebrate Esther, Imoh, Imaobong, Saviour and Godspower."
