Anglican Church Condole With Gov Abiodun Over Father's Death

...Describe Late Pa Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun As A Cerebral Person

By Ayobami Ife, Abeokuta

The Parish Church Council and parishioners of St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu Remo, Ogun State, have commiserated with the Abiodun Family on the transition of Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun.

Pa Adesanya Abiodun who is the father of incumbent governor of Ogun state, Southwest of Nigeria,  passed on Monday at the age of 89 after a brief illness.

Grieving over Baba's death, a delegation of the church parish led by the Vicar and Archdeacon, Iperu Archdeaconry, Ven. Shadrach Olaniyi Ajileye who presented the church's condolence letter to the representative of the Abiodun Family, Mr. Kayode Abiodun, at the deceased's Iperu residence in Iperu on Tuesday, said the departure of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun had left a very big vacuum that might be difficult to fill in a long time.

They described him as a  highly-cerebral person, who in his lifetime was well-informed,  brilliant and made contributions during the weekly bible studies, usually held on Sundays, praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the departure of a "great man."

According to Tope Oyekan, the People's Warden, who made this known to newsmen, the church urged the Abiodun Family of Iperu to take solace in the fact that "Baba" has gone to be with Lord.

"Our deepest sympathy goes to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Adedapo Abiodun, MFR, and his siblings, on the departure of their cherished and loving Dad, Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun

"We appreciate God's Mercy and Grace in the life of Baba. His departure has created a very big vacuum that might be difficult to fill in a long time. He is a very-principled, highly-focused, and forward-looking elder, who is always well-disposed to anything progressive and developmental in the Lord's vineyard.

"His contributions alongside that of his family in support of God's work in the church, and the Remo Anglican Diocese, cannot go unnoticed.

"A highly-cerebral person he was during his lifetime, his well-informed and brilliant contributions during the weekly bible studies, usually held on Sundays, is still fresh in our memories.

"We particularly condole with Our Mama, the Iya Egbe Aya Bisobu of St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu Remo, Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Olaitan Abiodun, on the exit of her loving husband, dependable partner, and wonderful companion of many years," the condolence message reads in part.
