The newly elected chairman, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, Wale Adedayo, on Monday received his Certificate of Return (CoR) from the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), pledging to make seurity and agriculture the focal point of his administration.
Adedayo who defeated his rivals - Sanusi Sulaimon of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Johnson Omolara of the New Nigerian Peoples Party(NNPP) and Zacheus Adewale of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), said he would attend to security matters with adequate attention and embark on regenerative agricultural policy to improve the welfare of the people.
The All Progressives Congress(APC) politician also pledged to harness the rich human and natural resources of the local government to drive growth and development of Ijebu East.
