Ijebu North Stands Still, Declares For Odusanya As He Receives APC Flag

...Pledges Unprecedented, Aggressive Developments

Ijebu Igbo, the headquarters of Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun state stood still as the campaign train of the Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) for the Council in the  July 24 local government elections,  Odusanya Omobolaji, hit the populous town.

Ijebu Igbo renowned for ever producing progressive politicians such as late Afenifere leader,  Senator Abraham Adesanya,  Senator Biyi Durojaiye, Senator Gbenga Kaka among others, enthusiastically received the APC flag bearer for the local government, pledging to work towards his victory and that of the party as well as other candidates of APC for the  July 24 polls. 

The were joined by APC leaders, members and hundreds of supporters from neighbouring towns and communities, including Ago - Quote,  to receive Odusanya who also  emphatically pledged that Ijebu North will witness an unprecedented and aggressive development when voted in.

He assurred the people that he would replicate  the developmental strides laid down by governor Dapo Abiodun - led administration in the State.

The APC  candidate  made this known  while addressing members of the party and her stakeholders during the official flag off of the Chairmanship Campaign at Obada Park in Ijebu Igbo.

He noted that as a Youth it behooves on him to open a new path of conviction that the Youths are no longer the future of tomorrow but leaders of today, this he said he owes to the Governor, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun who believes so much in the Youths. 

He assured that more focus will be channel towards economic transformation that will birth employments, empowerment for the Youths, well coordinated Security architecture, declaration of state of emergency on education, women empowerment, affordable health care delivery and overall growth and development of the Council Area in tandem with Building our Future agenda of the State Government.

Representing Otunba Biyi Durojaye, Sen Gbenga Kaka, Prince Segun Adesegun and Mr Olatokunbo Talabi (SSG), Rt Hon Tokunbo Oshin a former Deputy Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly alluded that, the time to have more positive change across board is now. 

He charged all Candidates especially at the ward levels to engage the electorates more on the agenda of the incoming administration as all hands must be on deck.

He however declared that by God's grace, the reelection of Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MFR is a done deal as the people of the State are enjoying his all round development, even as acknowledged in each Local Government Area of the State.

"All hands must be on deck even as we are going for this election, however, we must also ensure we deliver for Prince Dapo Abiodun reelection agenda because it is all about 4+4 and I know that by God's grace, he will be reelected, then any one who is interested can now declare their intention after his eight years as a Governor," Oshin stated.

In his welcome address, the Chairman/Campaign Director General, Hon Yakeem Olusola Jayeola expressed his appreciation over the large turn out by the party faithfuls, while appreciating the Governor Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MFR and other party leaders for giving chance to a Youth. He also charge party faithfuls to ensure the Candidates secured victory at the polls.

While addressing the mammoth crowd, the Immediate Ex-Deputy Speaker of Ogun State, Rt Hon Dare Kadiri Maba appreciates the leadership of the party for keeping faith with the party while assuring them of betterment in the distribution of dividends of democracy.

The event started at exactly 12noon with the Candidates on a motorcade parade around the districts of Ijebu Igbo, leaving the town agog as drums and sounds of joy and merriment rented the air. Party Leaders, Ogun State appointees, State Party Executives, Members of Central Working Committee for the Campaign, Market Leaders amongst others were among guests at the event.
