Two Robbery Suspects Land In Police Net While Trying To Sell Stolen Vehicle

Police Operatives attached to the Festac Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Nnonyelu Kelechukwu and Okonji Godspower in possession of a stolen car. 

Some community leaders in Festac had informed the Divisional Police Officer that the suspects wanted to sell one unregistered Lexus 2004 SUV to one Anas at the rate of (N1,000,000) one million.

The community leaders suspected that the vehicle must have been stolen and elected to alert the Divisional Police Officer on 29th April 2021 at about 9am.

The DPO and his team tracked the suspects and arrested them.

The unregistered Lexus SUV was also recovered and taken  to the station. 

The Lagos Police Command Spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a release on Saturday said the suspects had confrssed that they removed the vehicle from where it was parked in Alaba-Rago Area of Lagos State. 

Adejobi in the said release, quoted the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State,  Hakeem Odumosu, as commending the efforts of the Festac Division for arresting the suspected robbers.

The suspects according to him, will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for discreet Investigation and possible arrest of other members of the syndicate.
