Wasimi in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State made famous by her illustrious sons and agrarian economy came alive again at the weekend as the Chairman of Splash Estate, owners of Ojulowo -Omoluabi holdings, Chief Victor Eniola-Mark, becomes the "OMOLUABI of Wasimi Land."

The Oniwasimi of Wasimi land, Oba Babatunde Ositogun bestowed the title on the real estate operator,  describing him as a young achiever who have traversed the length and breadth of the world.

The monarch said Eniola-Mark has been at the forefront of projecting the Omoluabi ethos which the Wasimi people and in fact, the Yoruba race have  always espoused.

The Daily Crucible reports that the Yorubas are a tribe that always instill in their children and the youths all the characters of a responsible and well brought up individual and Oba Babatunde Ositogun aparently have studied the life style of Eniola-Mark,  its trajectory and came to the submission that he is deserving of the chieftaincy title of OMOLUABI.

The atmosphere at Wasimi was joyous on Saturday where the ace broadcaster was formally installed which coincides with the 18th year anniversary of the monarch on the throne.

The town's indigenes  - home and abroad as well as friends, came in their numbers to witness the ceremony.

While extolling the virtues of Chief Victor Eniola-Mark, the monarch expressed optimism that he will help him develop the community and take it to a new height.

"Human popularity makes no sense If your fame is a shame because In life; good behavior is more worthy much more than money, In fact, the most essential requirement for leaders is neither age nor gender but good and enviable behavior both in public and behind closed doors, this has earned my new chief today's honour.

“As small as our Chief is, he has really traversed through the world, he has done so much, his profile clearly showed that.  Since I know him, my faith became strong that he will help me develop Wasimi land,” the monarch said.
