From Mick Oseji, Asaba

There was pandemonium in parts of Imo State on Tuesday as unknown gunmen struck again, have razing the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area Divisional Police Headquarters, barely few hours after Vice - President Yemi Osinbajo left the State.

Osinbajo and the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, who had just been relieved of his job and other Government functionaries visited Imo state to inspect the level of damage wrecked on security facilities during a predawn attack on Imo Police Headquarters and Custodial facility in Owerri on Monday.

The Daily Crucible recalls that unknown gunmen attacked Owerri Correctional Centre, set free 1,884 inmates and razed over 50 vehicles within the premises of the Police Headquarters.

However, during the Tuesday evening attack, gunmen were said to have stormed the Ehime Mbano Divisional headquarters, freed suspects in detention before setting the Police facility on fire.

Although, there is not comment yet from the police spokesman in the state, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu to either confirm or disprove the attack.
