... Commuters Stranded
From Godwin Akomah, Lagos
Commuters around the Alausa and Berger areas in Lagos State were stranded on Friday as #EndSars protesters took over the Alausa section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and blocked it.
The protesters surged from the entrance of the Lagos House of Assembly to the highway, blocking the road as they marched and chanted anti - SARS brutality songs.
The placards-carrying protesters barricaded the highway from the Secretariat bus-stop, opposite Magodo Phase II, creating a gridlock.
The gridlock and its effects extended to the Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway - some of the commuters resorted to trekking long distance in order to access available commercial vehicles.
