Senator Adeola Yayi Mourns Kashamu

Senator Solomon Adeola(APC, Lagos West) has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Senator Buruji Kashamu who represented Ogun East Senatorial District in the 8th Senate.

Kashamu who died on Saturday in Lagos, was buried at his private residence in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, yesterday, amid tears and tributes from thousands of sympathizers.

Senator Adeola described late Senator Kashamu as a consummate grassroots politician who touched the lives of many people with his poverty alleviation programmes.

"As my former colleague in the 8th Senate, Senator Kashamu was singularly fixated on what he can do to better the lives of his  people and I am aware of his spending his personal resources in his numerous attempts to touch the lives of many" Adeola stated.

Senator Adeola said the death of Kashamu at the age of 62 was not only a great irreparable loss to his family and close political associates but also a loss to the business community, Ogun State and indeed Nigeria.

The chairman of Senate Committee on Finance who conveyed his condolences in a statement by Chief Kayode Odunaro, his Media Adviser, prayed for Almighty  Allah to grant Kashamu's soul eternal rest in Aljana and the fortitude for the family and asdociates to bear the irreparable loss of the dearly departed.
