Achudume Urges Religious Organisations To Help Govts Rehabilitate Ex - Convicts, Others In Society

                   • Apostle Achudume

From Heritage Odih, Abeokuta

The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church, International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has advised family members, religious organisations and other stakeholders to pay attention to the plights of ex - convicts and drug addicts in the society.

Achudume said the task of caring and rehabilitating ex-convicts, drug addicts and prostitutes should not be left solely for the government to carry unassisted.

The Apostle, who made this known in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capiral during an interactive session with men of the pen profession, urged families, religious organisations, nongovernmental organisations and well-spirited members of the public to see it as their part -responsibility to help these people get a second chance to reshape their life paths again.

He explained that addiction is a chronic dysfunctioning of the brain system, hence the need to show love to those suffering from it or the other challenges so as to prevent them from having permanent health issues that could lead to dire consequences.

Achudume noted that the Victory Life Bible Church remains passionate about the rehabilitation of prostitutes and re-integrating them into the society, saying that the issues ot women molestation, abuse of the girl child, wife battering, rape and early marriage should not be handled with levity.

He posited that the world would be a better place if the fear of God was upheld by all, pointing out that religious leaders should focus on sermons that would add values to the people and bring them closer to God.

He stated that life should be lived with wisdom and  contentment just as he saw the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure that the downtrodden are not made to regret being on earth.
