The Administrative Staff at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta who tested positive for the coronavirus last week has been discharged from the Ikenne Isolation Centre, Ogun State.

After testing twice, the results  returned negative on Wednesday and the cheery news about the Admin staff threw FMC Abeokuta into a wild jubilation when it filtered in.

" It is true sir, I have just been given a clean bill of health.

" I thank God, my Medical Director who was calling me every day and monitoring  my health progress.

" He made good provisions for me and a co- Staff here. He is a great leader with eyes full of compassion for all staff," she said in a telephone interview.

She equally thanked the entire staff for their prayers, according to Mr. Segun Orisajo, the FMC Head, Public Relations & Information in a release for the Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu.

Reacting, Prof.  Musa-Olomu described the news as cheery.

"This is a cheery news to me. This is answer to our prayers. I am very optimistic that the remaining staff over there will soon be discharged."

However, the results of the samples of the Nurse, another Staff of the Centre were being awaited.
