541 Recovered From COVID - 19 In Lagos As 13 More Patients Leave Isolation Centres

The Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday evening disclosed that 13 more patients  - 11 males and 2 females, have been discharged from the state's Isolation centres, having found each of them testing negative to the COVID - 19 virus on two consecutive times.

Sanwo -Olu who made this known in his address to Lagosians, said the latest discharge of 13 patients, brings the number number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos to 541.

The Governor assured the people that his administration would continue to play its role in keeping the state virus free as much as possible. 

He said:"As a Government, we are committed to strengthening the state’s capacity in combating the pandemic. 

"We would continue to play our role in keeping the state virus free as much as we can, but compliance on the part of citizens with guidelines on public health plays a major role in our fight against COVID-19.

"Today, 13 more patients, comprising of 11 Males and 2 Females, have been discharged from our Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

"The patients, 4 from the Mainland  Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

"With this, the number number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos stands at 541."
