Music Promoter, Seriki, Reaches Out To Vulnerable Households In Ogun, Osun With Cash

Sucour came the way of vulnerable and poor indigenes of Ogun State and that of Osun as popular music promoter in United States, Tunde Seriki, fetes them with cash to cushion the effects of the lockdown in both states over Coronavirus pandemic.

Seriki who is the Chief Executive Officer of Sultan Music International distributed over N2million to well over 100 beneficiaries in Abeokuta, Ogun State and Ifon in Osun state with  each smilling home with amount ranging from N5000, N10,000 to N15,000.
 
The music promoter who has promoted the likes of artistes such as Late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Lagbaja, Ayinde Wasiu,  Salawu Abeni, and host of others carried out the humanitarian gestures to alleviate the plights of the poor beneficiaries through his Tunde Seriki Foundation.

 In Ifon, Osun State, which is his mother; Alhaja Omooba's hometown, Seriki  doled out N10,000 each to over 130 beneficiaries while vulnerable members of Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the two states were also gifted with relief packages. 

Speaking on behalf of the Tunde Seriki foundation, the Director,  Aare  Akindele Ademola,  said Seriki was moved by the plights of the downtrodden after watching video clips about them in the two states during the lockdown.

He said:"Our chairman kept seeing different videos and he was sad about what the people is going through in this country since the lockdown begin, that is why he asked his foundation in Nigeria to convert majority of the money we have on ground as donation to the people.   

"He gave 100 people at the rate of N10,000, 5,000 and 15,000 to people of his father hometown.  

"In Ifon where his mother came from, he gave cash of N10,000 each to over 130 people in the area.  

"Because he went to Sulicat Abiola Quranic school in Abeokuta and he has spent some part of his life in Abeokuta, he gave many of his friends rice and a cash of 40,000. 

"Seriki has promised to do more. He had given cash to over 300 people.  

"We are working on how others will benefit.  

"We are working on how to assist handicap, leprosy colony and other physically challenged people in Ogun and Osun states."
