We'll Support Late Kasumu's Family To Give Him Befitting Burial - Foluke Daramola

From Ayobami Ife, Abeokuta

Nollywood Actress and Chairperson of Para Africa Foundation(PAF),  Foluke Daramola - Salako has  visited the Abeokuta, Ogun State, home of late  veteran Nollywood actor, Olukayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kasumu, to condole with the family, also declaring the resolve of PAF to join hands with others to give the fallen colleague a befitting burial.

Odunmosu who was popular with Yoruba movies, passed on on Sunday afternoon in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He would be buried on April 3 in Abeokuta, according to his son,  Mr Tunde Odumosu.

Foluke who was accompanied to the deceased home by colleagues, including Yomi Fabiyi and Bose Bello, disclosed the readiness of the Foundation and other players in the movie industry to accord the hardworking thespian actor a remarkable last honour on her social media page.

She drew an analogy with the hunters who always mourn when a fellow hunter dies, lamenting that sickness and death robbed the nation's Nollywood industry of the continued input of Olukayode Odumosu.

"When a hunter dies, the hunters mourn fellow hunters. PARA AFRICA FOUNDATION whose main agenda is celebrating and looking after the welfare of NOLLYWOOD VETERANS.

"We travelled down to Pa Kasumu's Abeokuta home to pay condolence visit and see to it that we express the desire of the industry to support the family in giving the talented and hardworking thespian a befitting burial.

"It was such an honour to have shared the set with such an enigma. Sickness and death denied us of his continued input in the Movie Industry. But who are we to question God. He has gone to rest.

"Welfare is major priority most actors and film makers, belong to movie associations. Luckily, the present regime of the National President of TAMPAN, Otunba Bolaji Amusan never joke with the Wekfare of every active, financial and card carrying members.

"Welfare which include: merriment (Weddings, Birthdays, House Warming, Film Premieres, Celebrating First Families, Wedding Anniversaries etc).

"Also in Grirf (Sickness, Disaster, Deaths etc), or during Criais (Litigation, Copyright issues, Royalties conflicts, Labour and Wages disputes, Peace and conflict resolution etc)," Foluke stated in her repost of Fabiyi's initial post.
