Senator Adeola Named APC NEC Member

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has been appointed into the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress( APC).

The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan conveyed the appointment of Adeola into NEC of APC through a letter dated 26th of February, 2020, according to Chief Kayode Odunaro, the Senator's Media Adviser in a release made available to The Daily Crucible on Thursday.

Lawan, in the release,  stated that the Senator representing Lagos West is the second senator to represent the South West geopolitical zone from the National Assembly in the NEC of APC.

The President of the Senate added  that Senator Adeola’s nomination was pursuant of Article 12(3)XXXii, XXXV, and XXXVi of the jxConstitution of APC which provides for the membership of the President of the Senate, Deputy Senate President of the Senate, Majority or Minority Leader, Party Whip and their deputies, and two serving Senators from each geo-political zone of the country as members of the National Executive Committee.

In his enthusiastic reaction to the appointment, Senator Adeola a.k.a ‘Yayi’  who is the Senate Committee Chairman on Finance, said his consistent loyalty to the party since its formation and adherence to party directives before, during and after 2019 elections must be responsible for his appointment.

According him,  the appointment is an opportunity for robust representation to further build the party and take it to greater heights.
