Popular Nollywood Goddess Mourns As Basketball Icon, Kobe, Daughter Die In Helicopter Crash

Popular Nollywood actress and movie producer, Genevieve Nnaji has mourned the tragic death of Basket Ball star, Kobe Bryant, and his daughter; Gianna in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

Genevieve who felt "heartbroken" over the untimely death of the Basketball icon and daughter, said Kobe "was more than a winner and champion."

"He was more than a winner and champion. He was the hero every daughter wished for. Rest in peace Kobe and Giana," Genevieve wrote on her Instagram page.

Kobe Bryant and Gianna, his 13-year-old daughter, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. There were no survivors.

It was learnt that he NBA star was travelling alongside three other persons when his private helicopter had challenges and fell off the sky to the ground on Sunday.

The Icon's pretty daughter - Gianna, was one of the people on board the ill - fated helicopter and died in the crash. 

Father and daughter were said to be heading to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash occurred.

Kobe, a native of Philadelphia began his career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers at 17 and spent the rest of his 20-year career with the club, winning five NBA championships and 18 All-Star titles before he retired in 2016.
