Amb. Tokunbo Awolowo - Dosunmu Crowned Grand Patroness of Southwest PFN, CPFN

The Southwest zone of the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) respectively, have crowned Ambassador (Dr) Olatokunbo Awolowo - Dosumu as their Grand Patroness.

Dr. Olatokunbo who is also the Asiwaju Obinrin Onigbagbo of Remoland, was installed CPFN and PFN Patroness on Sunday during the annual thanksgiving service organised in her honour by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State Chapter, at the Ikenne, Ogun State, home of her father, late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Dignitaries who graced the installation with their presence were the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Olatokunbo Talabi; former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, represented by his wife, Bola; ex - governor Gbenga Daniel; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi represented by the Agbolu of Agbaye Ife, Oba Adekunle Adebowale.

Others included the Chief Justice of Ogun State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu; her predecessor in office, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade; Rev.  Omotola Oyediran; the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi; the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo represented by the Olu of Owode and Olu of Siun, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo and Oba Lawrence Odeyinka as well as traditional rulers from Remoland.

Also in attendance were the Archbishop of Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos, His Grace, Dr. Olusina Fape; the Bishop of Egba West, the Right Reverend Ogundeji; the Bishop of Ijebu South West, The Right Reverend Babatunde Ogunbanwo and other leaders from different Christian faiths.

The President, Baptist Conference, Ogun State, Rev (Dr) Solomon Oyeniyi, in his message, urged Christians to appreciate God always.

Citing Psalm:116 vs 12 as anchor for his exhortation, Oyeniyi advised Christians to recognise God's faithfulness in their life by being grateful, stressing also that they should be more committed to things of God and testify of His goodness always.

Ex - President Obasanjo and Daniel in their separate goodwill messages, appreciated God on behalf of the celebrant and urged her to be more dedicated to the service of God and humanity while Oba Ajayi described Awolowo Dosumu as a personality that has great passion for the country.

He said:" What a better way to give thanks to God. He deserves all our praises. We must all give thanks to God for his faithfulness and kindness over us.

"For Awolowo Dosumu, she is passionate about God and this country. Her passion is not for selfish reason but one that benefits humanity."

Awolowo-Dosumu lauded CAN for organising the thanksgiving service which she described as "great evangelism."

She said that God works in many ways to keep his handiwork.

 "God has done so much and will continue to do so much for us, that is why we have to continue thanking Him for seen and unseen things," she said.

She described her investiture as call to service and promised to do more for the propagation of God's gospel.

Governor Abiodun also joined others in congratulating Awolowo Dosumu.
