Don’t Trust PDP with Power Again, Sen. Adeola Warns Nigerians

Senator Solomon Adeola has called on Nigerians to reject the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the February 16 Presidential  polls for laying the foundation of the mess that Nigeria is facing today.

Adeola said Nigerians entrusted PDP with power for 16 years to put the country on the path of wealth and greatness, instead left the nation with palpable human suffering and misery, according to Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to the Senator, in a statement on Sunday.

The All Progressives Congress(APC) senator((Lagos West)  who advised against returning PDP to power, made this known in Lagos while addressing party faithful, stakeholders and residents in Agege area of the state.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content, declared that the PDP and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had no sincere intentions to promote the development of the country.

" PDP was entrusted with power  for 16 years to put the country on the path of sustainable development but instead looted and misgovern the nation with massive human suffering and misery for a disappointed nation," he stated.

Adeola who is seeking re-election, cited massive corruption, lawlessness, and leadership ineptitude as the hallmarks of the PDP administration, explaining that plans by Atiku to sell the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to his friends and pardon treasury looters clearly showed he wanted to be president to protect certain interests that ruined the country in the past.

He advised citizens to vote for APC and President Muhammad Buhari as he had shown the commitment capacity and integrity to move the country forward.

“The PDP and its candidate, Atiku are saying they want to get Nigeria working again. The question we should ask them is :Who brought us here? They governed for 16years and they plundered our resources for themselves , their friends and their families ,neglecting the people," he stated.

On Buhari’s achievements, Adeola said the president had executed a good number of infrastructural projects to make lives better for Nigerians like the Lagos -Ibadan rail project ,the Second -Niger Bridge and Warri-Itakpe rail project among others.

According to him, the APC administration had also implemented policies and programmes such as N-power for graduate employment, School Feeding Programme, TraderMoni, Anchor Borrowers programme and others to impact on the lives of citizens.

In attendance at the interactive meeting with the Senator were representatives of religious, professional and interest groups.

Adeola had embarked on a street-to-street campaign of the area earlier in the day before the meeting
