Glamour, applause as Miss Oreoluwa Toluyi Wins Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural Pageant

It was all glamour and thunderous applause in a colourful hall as Miss Oreoluwa Toluyi, who hailed from Ede, Osun State, emerged winner of Queen Moremi Agosoro Cultural Pageantry.

Oreoluwa floored others - who keenly contested for the crown along with her in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday, to emerge winner of  the Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural Pegeant 2018/2019 edition.

She smiled home with a new car and a cash of N1 million while
the First and Second Runners-up  went away with N750,000.00 and N500,000.00 respectively.

Other contestants equally got various certificates and consolation prize of N200,000.00 each as announced earlier by wife the Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, before the final contest began.

A total of 27 beauty damsels drawn from the Southwest States of Nigeria are battled for the star prize while the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Enitan, his Olori, Naomi Enitan, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs Yetunde Onanuga,  and other Yoruba traditional rulers watched the contestants who with glamour, took turn to show case their inner and outside beauty, talents, leadership quality, courage and bravery reminiscent of the famed ancient Yoruba queen Moremi Ajasoro.

In her opening address, the Chief host, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, hailed the cultural pageant, saying it is meant to awaken the virtues of Queen Moremi in Yoruba young girls, which according to her, are "valour, courage and bravery."

Mrs Olufunso who is the wife of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, expressed the confidence that the beauty the contestants exude on the outside, would also be found on their inside.

According to her, the star prize winner among the 27, will smile home with a brand car and one million naira cash gift. 

Also, the first runner - up will go home with N750,000:00k, the second runner - up clinches N500,000:00k while other contestants will receive consolation prize of N200,000:00k each.
