Ogun APC: Salako-Oyedele named Dapo Abiodun's  running mate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been appointed Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele the  running mate of its governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The Daily Crucible learnt that emergence of Salako-Oyedele, 52-years old and a native of Ota, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, followed deep consultations among critical stakeholders within the APC family.

It was learnt further that  after dispassionate deliberations and detailed screening of various qualified individuals that were put forward for the position, a voting process took place and at the end, Noimot emerged the running mate  on Thursday evening.

She is a holder of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Civil Engineering from University of Lagos and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Public Health Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, UK.

Noimot is the daughter of late Professor Lateef A. Salako who served as Ogun State as Chairman, Ogun State Scholarship Board and Chairman Ogun State University Teaching Hospital Board of Management. 

Her father also served as Special Adviser (SA) to the then, Minister of Health, Prof. Olikoye Ransome-Kuti and was Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research for seven years and for a further three years, the Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Vaccine Research Laboratories, Yaba, Lagos. 

Salako-Oyedele is happily married with two children.

Prior to her emergence, she is Managing Director (MD), Glenwood Property Development Company Limited, Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos.

She is a multi-talented professional with well over 30 yeasts of working experience in consulting, contracting and real estate sector.

 She is a dedicated, result-oriented and enthusiastic individual with broad range of knowledge and experience in developing and implementing effective strategies in managing projects from inception through completion.

Speaking on the development, the APC flagbearer, Prince Abiodun expressed confidence in the running mate, saying she  is suitable and well qualified for the job ahead.

He said: “I am convinced  that Mrs Salako-Oyedele is suitable for this position, given her proven integrity, professional track records, leadership skills and capabilities. And I look forward to working with her to deliver good governance to the good people of our dear state”

Also, the Director-General of the campaign Organization, Prince Segun Adesegun, called on all party members and well-meaning sons and daughters of Ogun State, at home and abroad, to rally round the two candidates and give them the needed support in the quest to collectively create a robust and sustainable development for Ogun state.
