The  All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adedapo Abiodun, on Friday pledged to provide quality governance and enhance the welfare of the state workforce if elected into office in 2019.

Abiodun  also pledged to leverage on the abundant arable land to make  the state the  food basket of the Southwest Nigeria, create jobs for the youths and triple its Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) by harnessing all the inherent potentials.

The Real estate player, and Prince, from Iperu town in Ogun East Senatorial district, made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, shortly after a political meeting with  APC leaders and stakeholders at the home of former Governor Aremo Segun Osoba, in Ibara GRA.

The candidate also assured that there would be reconciliation with all aggrieved members, including Governor Ibikunle Amosun, whom he described as his "long time friend."

Abiodun said the  party is determined to put the crisis arising from the party primaries in the state behind and  build a "common front" team to wait for the opposition parties - the Peoples Democratic Party  and African Democratic Party(ADC), among others on the field in 2019.

He said  the disagreement within the party is a "family issue" that would be resolved soon, saying the Ogun State APC would enter the 2019 electoral contest "strong and united."

He also hinted that his running mate would come from Yewa - Awori people (Ogun West) even as he appointed former Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun, as the Director - General of his Campaign Organisation.
