Ogun 2023 : Olufemi Solola, The Man To Watch

                              •Solola

From Ayobami Ife,  Abeokuta

The pursuit of political ambition is a marathon race. And political chess game players know that success rests, among other factors, particularly on early preparation, strategy, cordination, speed, resources and planting oneself as well as one's agenda in the consciousness of the people.

And for a State that sired great leaders like Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Martins Kuye, Senator Biyi Durojaiye, late Afenifere leader, Senator Abraham Adesanya, first civilian Governor of the state, late Bisi Onabanjo, ex - Governor Aremo Segun Osoba, late politician and business mogul, Chief MKO Abiola, late Dr. Tunji Otegbeye, prominent traditional rulers and other past and serving political leaders coupled with the sophistication, the stake is always high in every dispensation and the contest keen as well.

Interestingly, many cutting across the State's three Senatorial districts and who have their eyes set on 2023, have equally started making subtle preparations ahead of time to till the hard political ground and familisrise themselves with the terrain before the umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), blows the whistle for commencement of the race to Oke Mosan and Abuja.

One of such politicians is the United Kingdom based Mr Olufemi Solola but his knowledge and grasp of happenings in the political climate of the Gateway State cannot be over-emphasized or contested.

Solola says he is the available best alternative among the alternatives in the State come 2023.

Born 21 January 1967, Solola attended Ebenezer African church primary school, Ibadan from 1972 to 1978. He then proceeded to the African Church Grammar school, Abeokuta between1978 and 1984

Solola gained admission to the Ogun state polytechnic, Abeokuta in 1984 1986, then to the Ogun state university, Ago iwoye between 1986 and 1990, while at the Dream Harvest College, London in 2004

His work experience started in the teaching profession with the Lagos State Ministry of Education as a secondary school teacher between 1990 and 2002.

Solola also served as a Metropolitan Police Community support officer between the year 2007 to 2011

He is presently a security and intelligence officer, London and Nigeria and happily married with children.

Part of his agenda is to provide enabling environment for gsinful employment and promote adequate security of lives and properties of people.

Integrity, empathy, resourcefulness and quality service delivery are also his core values.

"Governance and representation shall be people's welfare - driven. Pride and diginity in labour shall be restored.

"I will robustly support and initiate the use of digital technologies to drive socioeconomic growth and development of our people and the State.

"I will create by God's grace, an enabling environment where nobody needs to know or bribe anyone, in order to get what he or she legitimately deserves," told The Daily Crucible.
