President Trump, First Lady - Both Test Positive For COVID-19

            •Trump & First Lady, Melania

Presidentt Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have both contracted the dreadful COVID - 19 virus.

Trump broke the news with a tweet -- at nearly 1 AM Friday in DC -- saying ... "Tonight @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER."

The alarming news comes hours after one of the President's aides, Hope Hicks, had tested positive. Hope had been travelling on Air Force One all week with POTUS ... going to and from the President debate in Cleveland ... and also to his rally in Minnesota.

There's no good time to contract the virus, but it comes at a particularly critical time for the President ... less than 5 weeks before American Election Day.

It is not yet clear if Trump and Melania are experiencing symptoms, but the First Lady tweeted that they are "feeling good" but on "quarantine."

Also, Melania announced their COVID - 19 positive status on Twitter page.

"As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together," she tweeted.
