The New Light of Today's Leaders Initiative a.k.a Youth In Politics, Ogun State chapter, has  expressed  displeasure to the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on the title of "Youth Ambassador" conferred on the entertainment icon, and winner of Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition,  Lekan Agbelesebioba a.k.a LAYCON.

The group in a statement by its State Ambassador, Comrade  Oyalowo Ayodeji Raheem, called for immediate withdrawal of the title of Youth Ambassador as conferred, saying it runs at variance with the cultural value the eminent people of the state is known for.

In the statement provided to The Daily Crucible, the group noted that it arrived at the decision to petition Ogun State  Government led by Governor Abiodun and demands reversal of the title conferred on Laycon after conducting an online survey among the over one million youths of the state.

The group lamented that the tax payers money to the tune of N5milion naira had been used to fetes Layon, demanding also that it should be taken back.

"We represent over one million youths in the state and hereby states that the conferment of the position of Youth Ambassador on the entertainment icon  be withdrawn with immediate effect

"We the youth of the State dissociate ourselves with immorality on the first order as not being in conformity with the cultural background we were brought up with."

It further demanded that the house given to him be withdrawn as many youth and adults that have contributed immensely to the state growth are yet to own a land, let alone build houses.

The group also demanded that instead of expending hard earned tax payers money on frivolities,  the State government should by matter of urgency pay the bursary to all "our youths in higher institutions immediately"

It also asked that all outstanding payments owed to workers and pensioners be remitted immediately to the appropriate quarters.

It concluded by expressing  disappointment at the action of the Governor for cheapening the exalted office of the land, through the promotion of immorality.

"We hereby frown at the defilement of the office of the governor  of the state  by the present administration led by Governor Dapo Abiodun,  for not adhering to the yearnings of the people as part of the democratic  tenets," it concluded.
