46 Died, 173 Injured On Lagos - Ibadan Expressway In 9Months

A total of 46 people lost their lives in 132 road accidents involving vehicles and commercial motorcycles, that occurred in Ogun State at different times and locations from January 1st  to September 30, this year.

No fewer than 173 other people also sustained various injuries from the said accidents that occurred during the same period.

The Director, Traffic Planning, Research & Statistics for Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE )
Commander Ajayi Babatunde, attributed the causes to excessive speed,  dangerous driving, bad tyres,  driving Against Traffic and other factors.

Ajayi who made this known through the Corps' Public Relations Officer, Babatunde Akinbiyi, stated that of the 46 deaths, 33 were males while 13 were females.

Also, the injured comprised of 102 males and 71 females.
