The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command,  Hakeem Odumosu,  has  inspected the deplorable condition of the cell at Ogudu Police Station, describing it as unpalatable.

Hakeem said the inmates deserved something better and  directed that the facility be reconstructed and reinforced  to a model that befits the modern policing ideology of the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar Adamu.

The Commissioner of Police, who was on a routine check of Police deployments and formations across the command, ordered the Officer in charge of the works department (DLS) to commence immediate construction and reinforcement of the cell.

The Command's Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this known in a release provided to The Daily Crucible, stated that the Police works department would fix all necessary gadgets to make the cell a standard one as directed by Hakeem Odumosu.

According to Adejobi,  a Superintendent of Police (SP), the police chief also seized the opportunity to task the officers and men of the command, particularly those attached to Area H, Ogudu, on proactiveness, commitment and patriotism to national service and general security of Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
