Combat Pilot Tolu Arotile's Final Exit Begins As Body Arrives Military Cemetery

Amid a cloudy sky above and gloomy faces of military personnel on ground, the remains of the nation's  first female combat helicopter pilot, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, arrived the Military Cemetary, Abuja,  for interment.

The NAF ambulance marked AF 442 conveying the body arrived the Cemetery at exactly 8.38 am, causing tears to flow freely .

Flight Officer Tolu Arotile  was interred shortly after the Nigeria Airforce Force officers had accorded her the last honours amid tight security and funeral prayer offered for the repose of her soul by military clergies. 

Nigerians on ground to pay  final respects to 24 - year - old  late Tolulope Arotile  are members of her family; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla, among others.

A chain of security Operatives were sighted along the stretch of the Airport road, home to the military Cemetery.

The heavy deployment comprised of armed Military men and the Guards Brigade.

The Daily Crucible recalls that Arotile was killed by a reversing vehicle that knocked her down and leading to death hours after at the NAF Base Kaduna.
