'Obasanjo, An Icon And Global Citizen' - Gov Abiodun

From Ayobami Ife,

Governor Dapo Abiodun has described the former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a world ambassador, an African icon and a global citizen, who has made Ogun  State proud.

Abiodun stated this during the Annual Thanksgiving Service organised in honour of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King situating within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Abeokuta, the state capital.

The Governor noted that Obasanjo  former had always lived his life with the fear of God and never failed to appreciate the goodness of God in his life.

He described his relationship with the former President as that of a father and son, dating back to many years, explaining that the Octogenarian'  Christian life is characterised by selfless care of people around him.

The Governor appealed to Obasanjo to continue to support the present administration in Ogun State with prayers, saying with God, all things are possible.

In his message, Bishop of Egba Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rev. Emmanuel Adekunle said, God would bless the people, if they believe and follow his teachings in the new year, admonishing the congregation to repent from their sinful lives and develop the attitude of thanksgiving.

The only Bible passage taken from the book of Psalm 92, was read by the Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
